
Kate is a senior women’s health nurse specialising in the areas of fertility and menopause. She has worked in the area since 2007, spending over 6 years at a top IVF Clinic before working independently.
Kate is passionate, enthusiastic and caring, She is on a mission to share her fertility knowledge and experience with her patients as well as health care staff to provide support, education and raise awareness. Kate has a special interest in low ovarian reserve, premature menopause and egg donation.
Kate recently completed her MSc in reproductive medicine and is currently studying a PhD part time looking at women’s lived experience of premature ovarian failure.
Kate a member of ESHRE, The British Fertility Society, The British Menopause Society and a committee member of the RCN Fertility Forum. When Kate isn’t seeing patients or providing training, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 dogs. She also enjoys running, mainly to eat cake at the end! Katherine Pleace is a Registered Nurse, registered in the UK and regulated by the NMC.
In this 1 hour seminar Kate explores Oncofertility and the fertility treatment options for oncology patients.
This course covers:
- Bridging the gap between oncology and reproductive medicine
- Fertility preservation for male and female patients.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 1 CPD point.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
