8th Annual Women’s Health Study Day now available to stream
Sareena Sharma, Reproductive Biologist, IVF London
Sareena Sharma has been working as a reproductive biologist for 5 years in the UK. After graduating with a Masters degree in Clinical Embryology from the University of Oxford in 2018, she joined IVF London where she has continued her training. Sareena also has a Masters degree in Human Genetics from University College London. She is particularly interested in preimplantation genetic testing and the future of artificial intelligence. She also coordinates the donation programme at IVF London.
Gamete donation is becoming increasingly common in the UK with around 2000 babies born from donor conception each year. It is necessary for many different reasons including age or quality of gametes. Donor banks are available from which donor sperm and eggs can be purchased. There are strict criteria that a donor must meet in order to be considered UK compliant including blood screening, counselling and consents. The law also stipulates the regulations and responsibilities for donors and donor-conceived children, as well as a recommendation that parents tell their child that they have been conceived with donor gametes.
This study day is available to stream virtually and is available until 24 March 2024.
The lectures are designed to give a comprehensive understanding to all delegates.
