This 3 hour seminar explores all aspects of transvaginal ultrasound. This course takes an in depth look at the following:
- Understanding first trimester physiology and pelvic anatomy
- Recognising normal and abnormal pathology
- Understanding referral pathways in case of emergency
- Being able to supervise
- Being able to identify and manage first trimester complications
- Prepare reports
- Explain abnormal pathology
- Communicate with early pregnancy team
- Development of policies and quality assurance
- Being able to train other team members.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 3 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
