This 2 hour seminar looks at the types of fertility medication prescribed to patients. This course covers:
- Clear understanding of the range of medications
- Knowledge of drug uses and side effects
- Demonstrate competence when administering and noting allergies
- Record keeping of drugs administered
- Giving patient verbal and written instruction on drug usage
- Teaching on all injectable drugs
- Any discrepancies in medication raised and shared with team.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 2 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
