Fertility in Primary Care

7th Annual Women’s Health Study Day

Mr. Himanshu Borase, Lead Fertility Consultant, West Herts NHS Trust

Mr Borase will present on Fertility In Primary Care and Service Updates in Hertfordshire.

After graduating in 2001, Mr. Borase completed his postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Mumbai, India. He came to the UK in 2005 and worked in Wales initially. Then he trained in the South West of England where he gained wide exposure in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, by working in different hospitals and with experienced consultants and colleagues.

He has specialised in infertility over the last five years and got an opportunity to work in the largest satellite clinic in the UK, the busiest delivery suite in the South West (Gloucester) and one of the largest IVF units in the UK (Oxford). This training helped him to gain knowledge and become confident in managing patients with sub fertility issues.

It also increased his competency in performing various surgical procedures. He likes to scan his own patients, so he has all the required information. He is proficient in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeries required by infertility patients. He is Lead Fertility Consultant at West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust and runs a one stop fertility assessment at Spire Harpenden. His patients find him very calm, professional and relaxed as he explains things with drawings and gives them plenty of time to discuss their individual needs.

He was recently nominated for the patient’s choice award at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

10 minutes isn’t long to investigate infertility

We are delighted to share Mr. Borase’s wealth of expertise and experience to bridge the gap between primary and secondary care. A 10 minute appointment is not long to understand a couple’s fertility history! However, with so many advances in reproductive medicine the aim of the study day is to update primary healthcare providers on the latest techniques and tests available without the need for referral

This study day is held virtually so that you can watch at your convenience until 23 March 2023!

The lectures are designed to give a comprehensive understanding to all delegates.
