Professor Ralf Henkel, Chief Scientific Advisor, Logixx Fertility
Professor Henkel studied Biology and Chemistry in Marburg, Germany. From January 2014 to May 2020, he was HOD of the Department of Medical Bioscience, where he is now an Extraordinary Professor. He is also a Visiting Reader in the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction at Imperial College London, UK. He is an Honorary Professor at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, Peru and Adjunct Senior Scientist at the American Center for Reproductive Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. He is also Editor-in-Chief of ANDROLOGIA. So far, a total of 71 students have graduated under his supervision. He has published 167 research papers and review articles, 47 book chapters as well as 2 books; his h-index is 41.
10 minutes isn’t long to investigate infertility
We are delighted to have his insight and expertise to cover the sessions on the options for GP’s when looking at sperm analysis and he will also be presenting on male factor infertility. We understand that a 10 minute appointment is not long to understand a couple’s fertility history! However, with so many advances in reproductive medicine the aim of the study day is to update primary healthcare providers on the latest techniques and tests available without the need for referral.
