This 4 hour seminar breaks down consent for investigations and treatment. This course covers:
- HFEA code of practice
- Ensuring informed consent is obtained prior to any investigation, treatment or research
- Requirement for patient held copies of consent
- Consenting procedures
- Legislation relating to consent
- Data protection
- Ensuring consent forms are filed in medical record
- Responsibility for updating
- Implement policy and measure quality assurance.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 4 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
