This 4 hour seminar breaks down consent for investigations and treatment. This course covers:
- HFEA code of practice
- Ensuring privacy and confidentiality
- Suitable surroundings
- HFEA requirement for independent counsellor
- Basic counselling skills for informed knowledge base
- Knowledge of basic embryology, implications of failed treatment
- Providing advice on treatment options
- Audit counselling policies.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 4 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
