This 3 hour seminar explores awareness about the diversity of patients that you may treat. This course covers:
- Awareness of different cultures
- Awareness of different needs of individual patients
- Recognising the sensitivities of different cultures to fertility issues
- Awareness of issues relating to gender and sexuality
- Knowledge of blood borne viruses and their management
- Coordinate interpreter if needed
- Applying your knowledge of diversity issues to fertility nursing
- Coordinate across multidisciplinary team for HIV and Hepatitis positive cases.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 3 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
