This 4 hour seminar looks at infection control and prevention. This course covers:
- Understanding infection prevention and control
- Hand hygiene
- Correct use of PPE
- Describing the chain of infection and how to break it
- Understanding antimicrobial resistance
- Antibiotic safeguarding
- Decontamination of equipment
- Waste and linen standard precautions
- Provide training to junior members of the team.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 4 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
