This 2 hour seminar explores the subject of sperm retrieval. This course takes an in depth look at:
- Understanding the procedure
- Preparing the patient
- Patient monitoring post procedure
- Managing treatment cycle
- Providing assistance during the procedure
- Coordinating from admission to discharge
- Post op care
- Diagnose & manage any post op complications
- Counselling re consent and multiple pregnancy risk
- Supervising the procedure
- Training needs of junior members of the team.
After watching the seminar, attendees are asked to complete an evaluation in order to receive their certificate of attendance worth 2 CPD points.
This course is ideal for newly qualified nurses or experienced nurses who are new to fertility. This course is also useful for experienced nurses to highlight gaps in knowledge or for nurses who wish to progress to management or advanced practitioner level.
