Dr. Vega Rich graduated from Medical School at the University of Panama. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology training in the Social Security Hospital System in Panama and then moved to New York for his sub-speciality training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. After completing his training, he worked in New York for many years and established the Maternal Fetal Assessment Center at the Montefiore Medical Center before returning to Panama. He then worked in the Panama Canal Zone hospitals and in the Social Security Hospital System in Panama. After seeing the need for high quality fertility care in Panama, he decided to undergo further training in Reproductive Medicine in the Colombian Fertility Center (CECOLFES) with Dr. Elkin Lucena. He then established what is today the biggest fertility center in the region, Panama Fertility.

He has helped thousands of families achieve their dream of becoming parents and is especially proud of establishing the National Foundation for Fertility and Sterility (FUNAFES), which helps hundreds of low-income couples afford fertility treatments each year.
